Global warming has dramatically changed the park. Already, more red foxes are moving into the park. The red foxes are competing with the arctic foxes for food and territory. Also, the permafrost that has covered the soil in the park is slowly deteriorating because of the warming climates. With this deterioration, the frost melts and turns into mini lakes and swamps creating explosions of life. This alters the habitat and makes it more difficult for the organisms to adapt when they already got used to the habitat before.
